Default Good things about hormone replacement.

I have heard really good things about hormone replacement treatments and have just been wondering if there are long term reprocusions from using it (less effective over time, building a tolerance to treatments, etc.) anyone know anything on the subject, thanks

Ive read that hormone replacement can have bad effects on the prostate if the person is already inclined to prostate problems and has been none to cause osteoporosis in women and especially during menopause. But regardless if you are serious go and talk to a doctor and they should be able to be alot more helpful.

I have read on a site that the Hormone Replacement Theraphy trial was scheduled to end in 2005. It says there that "it was found that long-term use (5 years or more) of combination HRT resulted in an increase in a woman's risk of breast cancer, blood clots, heart attacks and strokes. Even so, many doctors believe that short-term use of HRT to control menopausal symptoms is still safe for most women. Women who have a history of heart disease or blood clots are at the highest risk and should most likely not receive HRT." I hope this article helps a lot.

I can tell you that using something like Human Growth Hormone does cause increased growth to organs and bones. I have also seen distended abdominals - like a gigantic sticking out gut, even when the user is really lean and has a six pack - this I believe is down to the grotesquely enlarged intestines.

Male andropause is the equivalent of the female menopause except it's not bound to happen at a particular point. But guys are losing their test levels as they age over about 45 or so, but given all the hormonal toxins in the environment I hear guys are struggling with hormone levels all the time now. I think this is why testosterone boosters and natural hormone replacements are really starting to become popular. Plus these things are starting to work a lot more now - used to be you had to get a prescription for major hormone injections, but I've used natural supplement stuff and had blood tests done and you do actually see changes, and I'm only 30 which isn't really old enough to see massive decline.
