For me it began when I first used Ultimate Orange back in 1998. For many Ultimate Orange was the first supplement of its kind, representing a quick way of vastly increasing energy for intensive training sessions through a concoction of stimulant based ingredients. Its very high caffeine content and ephedrine soon led to the product being banned but the mantra of the product rang through out the industry. There was suddenly a real demand for pre-workout supplements.
BSN NO Xplode was one of the first sports supplements to truly embrace what its customers where looking for. The basic concept of high caffeine drinks has since become a standard within our culture (you need only look at the barrage of Red Bull clones to witness this phenomenon), though BSN took the concept further by aiming NO Xplode specifically at the hard core athletes. By adding ingredients already recognised and used by professionals BSN created a powerhouse product. BCAA's, creatine (including creatine ethyl ester), Beta Alanine and B6/12 vitamins offered hard core athletes a way of training harder, feeling a pump sooner and recovering quicker. NO Xplode shot to fame and quickly became oneof the worlds most loved sports supplements.
You need only visit our NO Xplode Review section to see just how popular the product is.
There have of course been competitors enter the fray in recent years. Gaspari Superpump, CEL Nox Rush and Dorian Yates Nox Pump have all offered up more complex formulas, each touting a more intense workout. rarely have they been able to make an attempt at the NO Xplode crown however.
Recent years have seen the release of a distinctly newer brand of Pre-workout supplements. Competitors such as USP Labs Jack3d or Physical Edge Rampage have provided a psychological stimulant with 1,3 Dimethalamine as a main ingredient. These competitors do provide a completely different feeling to NO Xplode and give a stimulated feeling without the pumps witnessed with NO Xplode. This may have been the wake up call BSN needed to announce the released of NO Xplodes successor; BSN NO Xplode 2.0, which is set to be come readilt available across Europe in the coming months.
Buy Sports Supplements will of course keep updated news and reviews as it becomes available.
Have you used BSN NO Xplode? What did you think of it as a pre-workout formula? Do you have other products you prefer or is NO Xplode still the pre-workout king. Let us know on the forum.
